B.T.S. PRE Brands Photo Shoot
Another fun time with PRE Brads! It’s great to see how the creative grows with them every shoot. The ideas just get bigger and better.
This past shoot we created bold, colorful environments that mimicked the summer outdoors, game night, date night, and others! Incorporating the brand colors then matching the tones with props and wardrobe. Talent was really important because we were able to show faces and their expressions. Each scene had actions played out, so we were able to capture fun stop motion pieces as well as stand alone stills. This made for a wide range of captures for their library and various places the imagery was going to be used. So many combinations of great shots and expressions, it was hard to share just a few!
Thanks to the amazing crew!!

B.T.S. Photo Shoot: Love For Pizza
When creatives get together! Pizza was on the mind, and no better team to call upon than Janine Kalesis, and Penelope Bouklas to bring it to life. We brainstormed indulgent pizza slices and created unique environments around each concept. Incorporating talent was important to tell the story of each slice. We have Molly and Licha from Vie Agency who brought their A game! Dominique Noelle did an awesome job on hair and makeup and their looks worked well with each setup. Experimenting in the studio with lighting and cameras is part of the fun. We were able to get funky wider shots that created completely different vibes. It was one way to stretch the scenes and make them more versatile, things clients are always looking for. Love this series, and there were too many to post here!
Thank You Crew!!!

Photo Shoot Recap Junkless Foods!
Junkless Foods is such a cool brand to work with. They have a variety of tasty granola bars we’ve been able to photograph, and most recently their new Protein Bars! So yummy! Other than helping them with their packaging photography we’ve captured some fun lifestyle shots for them to showcase their products and packaging in other fun ways. Check them out at your local supermarket.

This was exciting news to receive that I was one of the chosen photographers to be in Lurzer’s Archive’s next edition for 200 best photographers! I love the diner series I shot with food stylist Janine Kalesis and prop stylist Penelope Bouklas, and I’m glad they chose those images for print!

B.T.S. Spring Awakening Series Shoot
This personal series has been brewing for awhile. I wanted to create these sculptural images that incorporated raw ingredients and flowers. I wanted to shoot this when fresh fruit, vegetables, and flowers were peeking in season. This allowed us to have the flexibility to source some stunning options! My stylist did not let me down. I got to work with food stylist Judi Orlick and Florist (and ceramic artist studio owner!) Zofi Lipton on this shoot. I was so excited when they were on board to help bring this vision to life. We narrowed down the ideas and left room in the day to just explore and play around. I wanted the lighting and propping to be dramatic. Once the food and flowers touched the surface the vibrant colors and interaction of the two things just came to life in the shot. Beside minor dust spotting and creative rigging these are true to what we captured in studio. It was great to shoot at Simple Studio, the perfect still life studio with a view! Assisted by Jarrett Murphy
B.T.S. Casino Shoot
When an idea comes to life! I collaborated with my creative team, penelope bouklas and Janine Kalesis to come up with a vintage inspired casino night. We incorporated vintage props as well as food and beverage. I created the lighting and composition to help set the tone of the environment. There were so many great moments from this shoot it’s hard to just pick a few. Noreen Eddy, our hand model really helped capture the mood and added the perfect human element to our story
Thank You 2022! Hello 2023!
Wrapping up 2022 with a full heart and many thanks to go around! So many new clients this year that trusted in me and my team to bring their concepts to life. It takes a village for these projects to come to fruition and every year that village grows. Every project this year was unique. I can’t pick one that was better than the other. Also each project comes with its own challenges, but we always find the light at the end of the tunnel and finish with amazing work. That’s why I think it’s really important to wrap each shoot with a blog post and some B.T.S. because what might look like a simple image or video from the outside, takes a lot of planning, and various stages to go through to get us to that finish line.
Again thank you for helping me grow my business in 2022 and look forward to seeing you in 2023!
Personal Series: Leftovers
This concept has been on my mind forever! A kitchen staple that is so versatile it was the perfect vessel to capture food. I came up with common uses we use aluminum foil that leave residues, grease, colors, and burn marks. In a normal situation we would crumple this up and throw it away. I wanted to capture the beauty in essentially this piece of food trash before it made it’s way to the can. A fun part of this project was how easy it was to manipulate the foil and it hold it’s shape created. There had to be a feeling of movement as if it was actually dancing in mid air. The lighting and rigging on set was really important to me for this project to get the idea across. I used muted backgrounds and surfaces so the colors of the food really stood out.
What else do you use foil for??
B.T.S. Nepresso Photo Shoot
What a fun coffee project. The team at Weber Shandwick, and Nepresso came up with really creative concepts to showcase Hispanic Heritage Month. They chose beautiful Nepresso coffee recipes and were paired with custom illustrations that were added to the coasters we photographed. The props were minimal and really allowed the Nepresso drinks, glassware, and illustrated coasters shine through. These images were shared on Nepresso’s Instagram account during the months of September and October. Each image had a story to tell and was beautifully featured. Really proud of this work my team and I were able to create!

B.T.S. Ghiradelli Chocolates (Safe Set)
What a fun shoot to wrap the summer with. It was great to work virtually with the creative team at Ghiradelli Chocolates in California on some new packaging work promoting smores with their chocolates. You can’t beat that! A caramel filled Ghiradelli chocolate lightly melted with toasted marshmallow between two graham crackers, yummy! We worked on different concepts for that over 2 days as well as capturing some additional chocolate experimental shots across their portfolio. It was great to have the creative freedom and work with chocolate stylist Liz Duffy. Can’t wait to see the final concepts out.

B.T.S. Photo Shoot Buona Vita (Safe Set Covid-19)
It was so fun to work with Buona Vita again, this time updating their photography for their meatball cookbook and other collateral! With the new photography they are relaunching a new website and logo. The creative look for these shots was clean, modern, and appetizing. We really wanted to highlight the great quality in the meatballs. Also showcasing all the amazing ways you can use their product. The meatball is so much more than just a topping for your pasta. Can’t wait to see these shots up on their new site. Make sure you check out their products at your local supermarket.

New Jersey Monthly Distilleries Photo Shoot
This was a really fun project to travel around New Jersey and capture the various distillers. Each one I got to visit had a really unique personality and drink options; Worth a trip to see. The change in liquor laws in 2013 has allowed these new distilleries to open and operate in New Jersey. Everyone I met had a true passion for the craft and all had a unique story how they got into the business. Make sure to reach the whole story here: https://njmonthly.com/articles/eat-drink/new-jersey-distilleries/

Dry January 2021!
When you voluntarily stop drinking alcohol for a month. After the holidays, and…2020 the drinking can get the best of us and this is a great way to ease into the new year. Take the time to hit the reset button on yourself and mentally connect with one self. :)
I’ve been participating in dry January for 5 years now! I always feel better after the month. It honestly improves my sleeping, overall health, and concentration on every day tasks.
There’s nothing wrong with enjoying a drink or 2 but relaxing after a long day doesn’t always have to be with a glass a wine. Think about this while starting the new year fresh. Also check out some of these great drink alternatives I love.

B.T.S. Stills + Motion Shoot for Magma Products (Covid-19 Set)
This shoot was a great way to kick of the summer! Magma Products, the leading industry maker of grills for Marina and Camping enthusiasts. The brand was going for a new and updated look so we were able to create high end imagery bringing together the lifestyle these grills appeal to. It was such a cool and challenging shoot because not only did we bring the tropics to Manhattan we brought a boat to the studio! We had a custom built boat ledge made fitted for these grills as they would attach to a boat in real life. This ledge came out so nice we had it sent to the client in California after the photo shoot. This was one of our first shoots back inside since COVID hit; Everyone that was able to attend the shoot was comfortable in the environment. We had plenty of space to socially distance, masks required, and PPE on hand. Can’t wait to see the final pieces out in the wild!

B.T.S. Photo Shoot: King's Hawaiian
When I think of bread that reminds me of summer, hands down it is King’s Hawaiian! It was an awesome project to work on that Chuck Studios executive producer Elyse Sara brought me on to. We had 2 days on set with a limited crew because of COVID-19 to capture beautiful kitchen scenes and super tasty recipes using the various King’s Hawaiian products. The kitchen sets were modern, contemporary with warm colors and greens peeking in. Helen Jones styled the recipes perfectly to really elevate the bread and flavor cues! Propping and set dressing was done by the amazing Christina O’Neil. We had all the COVID-19 regulations in place and we all felt safe on set. Also since the client could not be there we were able to setup a private Slack channel and use ZOOM to conference in the team. It was a seamless experience and would do it again. At the end of the day we got some awesome photos. Can’t wait to see them in the wild!

COVID-19 Policies and Procedures On Set
As a photographer and business owner returning to work, I have a responsibility to keep my employees, clients, and family safe while on the job and when I return home.
The number one way for us to return to work safely is to respect the social distancing policy introduced by the CDC, as well as OSHA. These best practices are currently being adopted by Hollywood and Commercial productions as well as smaller productions across the country.
As a major metropolitan area, New York City was highly impacted and these health and safety guidelines have to be undertaken now as part of all production processes.
Obviously shoots and the creation process have a social and collaborative component. As we try to work through these new guidelines please understand that these restrictions are new for all of us and we will do our best to deliver the highest caliber of work while keeping everyone safe.
