B.T.S. Beer Shoot!
It never gets old photographing beer. There’s always something new to explore and discover in the process! I was so excited to work with Mieko on this project. She sourced beautiful colored beer and beer cans to photograph. We put together a few ideas to explore and left room to be creative. I know we needed a human element for one of the setups and I was able to call on Vie Agency to provide a great talent. I got to work with Jasik who knew how to open a beer can perfectly. We were able to capture the action on the first shot! That’s why planning is so important, you can get right into it when talent walks on set.

Dry January 2021!
When you voluntarily stop drinking alcohol for a month. After the holidays, and…2020 the drinking can get the best of us and this is a great way to ease into the new year. Take the time to hit the reset button on yourself and mentally connect with one self. :)
I’ve been participating in dry January for 5 years now! I always feel better after the month. It honestly improves my sleeping, overall health, and concentration on every day tasks.
There’s nothing wrong with enjoying a drink or 2 but relaxing after a long day doesn’t always have to be with a glass a wine. Think about this while starting the new year fresh. Also check out some of these great drink alternatives I love.

Photo Shoot BTS: Ketel One Vodka Botanicals
Beautiful design is the first thought that comes to mind looking at the new line of Ketel One Vodka Botanicals coming out. The illustrations of floral and fruit bordering the bottle remind me of Marie Antoniette and her beautiful, lavish parties. It was so fun to work with the Ketel One team and agency to create outdoor scenes with a freshly made cocktail. Sourcing mint, fresh fruit, and flowers in January seemed like a difficult feat but I was confident with my team we would get it all and the best quality. In addition to the environmental shots we did some simple on white product shots for them to be able to use on different platforms. Can’t wait to see these in stores! https://www.ketelone.com/vodkas/peach-orange-blossom-botanical/
Benefits Of A Dry January
I’m not a crazy drinking girl; at least since I turned 21… A Dry January has been a thing for a little while and I’m sure people were doing it before the internet came around. Dry January is essentially putting down the alcoholic drinks for 1 month. January seems to be the best time to do it, after the holidays, it’s a new year and a new you! Why not start it off healthy. That’s exactly how I feel and being a health nut anyway it made sense.
There are plenty of articles out there that explain it’s roots and benefits, one being here: https://www.aarp.org/health/healthy-living/info-2017/alcohol-dry-january-fd.html
My personal goals and journey though January have been positive and I do feel I see a difference. One thing that stands out for me is my skin/face isn’t so red, and dry. Alcohol actually dehydrates your skin! I don’t feel bloated in the morning. Sometimes I would after drinking with dinner. Sleep is a big plus for me! I do like my sleep and being healthy a good night sleep is a must. Not drinking improves it even more for me. I would sometimes wake up in the middle of the night if I had a drink and be impossible to fall back asleep. Overall the month of dry is something I don’t mind and enjoy. I don’t drink a lot in the first place but this yearly routine centers me and gets me ready for the rest of 2018. After doing this in the past I’ve really curbed my drinking and stick to it with just a couple drinks on the weekends.
Are you ready? Pick any month and just keep note of how you feel and interact with people.
BTS: Rex Goliath Wines 2-day photoshoot
It was so amazing to work again with the super cool client Rex Goliath along with agency Partners + Napier. The client was able to fly into NY from Cali. this time to really experience the full shoot and be on set for creative direction.
Over the course of 2 days we photographed some wines they carry in bottle and their grab-go style tetra packs creating the summery/outdoor feel. We used bright lighting and actually brought in grass to make it feel more outdoors. (There was still snow on the ground outside and just starting to creep into comfortable temperatures.) Along with the wine photographs they were introducing recipe pairings and we got to photograph those as well. The food was no-fuss easy "picnic type" food which made for really cute and casual shots. I had my amazing team; food stylist Carrie Purcell, and prop stylist Deb Donahue. Check out the BTS video with pieces from both days and a couple of the final shots at the end of the video. Enjoy!
Photo Shoot: Patron Tequila 7anos Limited Edition
This past year I had an awesome opportunity photographing a "top secret" Patron tequila never released before. Cramer-Krasselt the advertising firm in Chicago/New York reached out to me for their client Patron to photograph the unique tequila and specialty bottle along with some other Patron products to be released this year.
Finally the day has come where it's now available along with the photographs I've taken for the brand. The iconic Patron images are something I always loved and to photograph them myself was something I could not ask for more. The creatives were amazing to work with and created the amazing shots. You can read more about it online and see it at Patron's website. I'll be posting some of my favorite final shots to my site soon!
